1. All vehicles and floats are to be decorated and well lit, keeping with the holiday season.
2. The fee for registration is $50.00 for commercial entries, and $35.00 for Not-For-Profit groups. Payment is expected with your parade registration form. If registering by e-mail, your registration will be considered "pending" until your payment is received.
Please mail your cheque to:
Bob Jackson
c/o Optimist Santa Claus Parade
606 Elm Street, St Thomas, ON N5R 1K7
After the registration deadline of Friday November 1, 2019, the registration fees are doubled:
$100.00 commercial,
$70.00 not-for-profit.
3. There will be no candy distributed at the parade. Anyone found in violation of this will not be allowed in next year's parade.
4. Flyers or advertisements are not to be handed out during the parade. These sheets tend to be left behind and litter the street.
5. A driver of the float must remain with the vehicle at all times during the staging portion of the parade.
6. We do not want to confuse the children with more than one Santa Claus. The Optimist Club of St. Thomas will provide the one and only Santa Claus at the end of the parade.
7. No riders are allowed on their floats during entry to the staging area.
8. In order to have a smooth flowing parade, all vehicles must keep moving when possible. Otherwise the length of the parade is extended and gaps can occur. This results in much frustration for spectators. Please keep it moving.
